Cognitive Levitation

Muhammad Umair Shabbir is a 19-year-old BBA student at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad.

Close your eyes and silently stare
Out the window of conception,
Positioned adjacent to the doors
Beyond which lies the unknown.

The known is nowhere to be found,
Only the endless pursuit to unearth it.
Nothing would make sense anymore
Had we known half of the unknown.

Only if we shall drown in ourselves,
Letting indulgence show its magic
Would our souls be clean as a whistle
And silence sound sweet as a sonata.

When zero truly means nothing,
Six and nine no longer contrast,
Sum of one and one equals one,
Must we truly experience Unity.
